CNN Lite is a free web portal, advertised as CNN's 'low-bandwidth version'. It provides a very simple interface listing only a series of links, one after the other, to CNN's current top headlines, with a 'Listen' option to read out each article in audio format.

CNN Lite does not provide the user with a lot of browsing options. This is because it is intended to save a lot of bandwidth. Virtually all that the portal provides is the text of the articles, and no more. This means that you cannot browse specific categories of article, for example, or read far back into the early 2000s before the portal was made.
